ATT Tank Flexible Hose Joint (Pipe Drain Systems)
The ATT Tank Pipe Drain Systems are installed on tanks equipped with an external floating roof.
ATT Tank provide a comprehensive program of drain joint used for reliable rainwater drainage from external floating roofs. The operating conditions to which the articulated pipe drain is subjected determines the requirements the joint must meet.
It is important to be aware of all operating conditions and the manner of drain installation. Like tank diameter and tank height, the stored medium, operating temperature and ambient temperature, operating pressure or vacuum and tank shell- and external floating roof connection.
Incorrect use may cause deform the joints installed.
The ATT Tank Flexible Hose Joint compared to conventional swivel drain joint, the swivel drain joints will eventually leak and require periodic maintenance. When looking to tank cleaning costs and more operational cost, it is more economical to give a storage tank maintenance free life of more than 15 years.
The ATT Tank Flexible Hose Joint compared to conventional hose drains, all types of drain hoses are susceptible from time to time to interfere with floating roof landing legs, which might result into in premature drain hose failures. Drain hoses can have problems with their own buoyancy, they must be very heavy to overcome their own displaced weight. Our ATT Tank Flexible Hose Joints will always remain within the same narrow operating base framer and therefor will never interfere with landing legs because of this fixed geometry.
The ATT Tank Flexible Hose Joints are available in standard sizes 3”/4”/6”. All our drain joints will be delivered with a test certificate.
Engineering details are provided upon request.
The most commonly used ATT Tank articulated pipe drain joints are:
• Flexible Hose Joint
• Swivel Joint (Offset) & Swing Joint (Central)
